Moving to Blogger

I have decided to move to Blogger. It appears to me that I will be able to see more easily who is following me and how many people are following me. Maybe I’m just vain, but I would love to know how many people are actually reading about me and what I post. I love how blogger has that little window that tells you who is following you and shows their little aviatar.

So after a few quick steps it’s up and ready for viewing. I will be trying to get back to my features on the artisans that donate part of all of their proceeds to charity in the next week or so. Be on the lookout for some great things in our future.

The Hook and Yarn Shop

I recently found this cute little online shop through Facebook.

***Side note… I’m starting to really like the link ♥ on Facebook I’ve found some really great things through link ♥ and formed new friendships.

Anyway, The Hook and Yarn Shop has the wonderful vintage patterns on her site. I downloaded one the other day and started working on it. Well you met Mr. Hoot last week. Well he was from the pattern I downloaded. I also made Charlie the Chipmunk and Sarah from The Hook and Yarn Shop was so kind to add my photo’s to her website. Newborn Spring Hat

I finally found a pattern that I LOVE for a spring hat. After trying several others I’m just in love with this one. I had to make some adjustments since the pattern was for adults, and I was surprised that I got the sizing right the first try for a newborn hat. I think I’m getting the hang of this crochet stuff.

Facebook Fan Page giveaway

I’ve had a Facebook Fan page for a couple of months. Recently I reached the 200 mark and I hosted a giveaway. I was very excited that I had so many interested in winning my Newsboy/girl cap.

Some New Stuff

So here is a quick blog to show you what I’ve been up to. Trying to add some new products for the craft fair.

New headbands with flowers. I will be adding an array of sizes and colors.

I almost kept this bag for myself instead of putting it in my shop. This is definitely on my need to make this for myself list.

I’m still alive

I may be out of the blogging world till mid-April. I am gearing up for the local Street Fair and I have a lot of crochet and knitting to do to be ready.

What Happened Wednesday?

Y’all may have been wondering if I’ve fallen off the face of the earth, but no, I’m still here.

Life has gotten a hold on me and I’ve been focusing on my family and responsibilities and also having a little fun shopping with my tax money. So if you don’t hear from me the rest of the week don’t be alarmed… I will return.

Here is one of the reason’s I’m a little busier.

Have you ever tried to keep a 3-year-old from hurting a fractured collar-bone? No bike riding, no slides, no parks, no running and no jumping (I call him Frog he jumps so much). Not an easy task!

About a 1-1/2 weeks ago he fell and fractured his collar-bone. Keeping him from running and jumping is hard enough then his brother is having a hard time not rough housing like normal. For the most part Samuel (4-year-old) is taking real good care and being gentle with Jonny (3-year-old), but not all the time. He’s slipped on the floor a few times and I feel so bad for him when he gets up crying that it hurt. It makes me want to cry. My poor baby.

The cute little Teddy Bear was given to him in the ER, made by a local church. I love that it’s Handmade. It was his pal for about 3 nights then it had a string and he messed up one of the eyes when he tried to pull it out. Now it’s been gifted to his big brother. At least it’s loved by someone.

On another note….

I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentines… Tell me what you got for Valentine’s…

I got 4 brand new tires on my van

a new set of sheets for all three beds in the house

a kitchen scale

a trash can (I know I’m easy to please, but I was hanging grocery bags on the cabinets and it was driving me nuts)

a compost can

and some new clothes

Ok well most of that was just what my hubby got for me because we got our tax money already, but I got all this during the week leading up to Valentine’s so… I’m pretending he got me all that to show me how much he loves me.

But the best gift of all was THIS!

My honey made this with the boys while I was at church Sunday evening. My heart melted when I saw how excited the boys were when they yelled “Happy Valentine’s” while jumping up and down and saying “We made this sign for you”. Then they went into detail about the paint and the glue and how they each helped Daddy make it.

I love all three of my boys and they made this the best Valentine’s Day that I’ve ever had.
